Meet the members of the Resonant’s executive team

Nick Morton

Chief Investment Officer

Nick has over 20 years of experience in financial markets, including 7 years at Citigroup as a Director and Head of Australian Quantitative Research, and 2 years at Colonial First State Global Asset Management within their $5bn institutional Australian equities fund.

Nick’s particular expertise is quantitative finance, where he is an expert in conceiving, implementing and trading equities and multi-asset models that incorporate the latest techniques including macro-economic, company level and sentiment driven metrics to deliver positive portfolio return outcomes for clients.

Between April 2016-April 2018, Nick was responsible for the overhaul of the CFSGAM Core Australian Equities portfolio, introducing quantitative rigour and process, driving up return outcomes including 2.2% outperformance of the index in the 12m running into February 2018, on the $5Bn active Australian Equities portfolio.

Nick has a Masters of Aeronautical Engineering degree from Imperial College, University of London, and a Masters of International Business and Finance from the University of Sydney, and is a fluent French speaker.

Glen Holder

Chief Executive Officer

Glen has over 16 years of experience in financial markets across Australia and Europe, as Chief Investment Officer of an HNW Private Wealth firm, and in institutional sell-side roles at top tier global investment banks and broking firms, including Citigroup and UBS.

Since 2014, Glen has developed an investment process that leverages institutional grade quantitative portfolio management techniques to construct direct securities focussed multi-asset portfolios aimed at private clients. The success of Glen’s approach has been demonstrated by outperformance vs established benchmark indices across each risk profile. His Australian equities portfolio has exceeded the ASX200 Accum Index return by more than 2%pa since inception.

In previous roles Glen advised fund managers on securities analysis, market strategy and stock specific trade views. In 2011 Glen was awarded top performer in Citigroup’s Alpha Generator, which provides actionable trade ideas to institutional clients, achieving a long-short equity portfolio return of +31.5% and a Sharpe ratio >2.5.

Glen has a Masters in Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne and is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand. He has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Law and a Diploma in Financial Planning.
